Ross and Nata raised four children in Independence, Missouri. Ross was ordained a permanent deacon for the Catholic Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph in 1978, and has worked over the years in several different positions within the diocese. In 1984, Ross began a ministry of accompaniment at the southern border. That work continues today through Manos Amigas KC.
A member of the Greater Kansas City Muslim Community , Deqa is active in advocating for the less fortunate and conducting educational programs throughout local mosques.
Alan serves as the Jewish Director of the Greater Kansas City Interfaith Council. Alan received a Master's Degree in Jewish Education from the Jewish Theological Seminary and recently retired after a 50-year career as a Jewish educator. He serves on several local, national and international boards committed to Jewish engagement, Israel education, interfaith work and peace between Israelis and Palestinians.
Mike is a member of Christ the King Independent Catholic Church. Mike has worked in government for over 35 years, including the last 15 years with FEMA in Emergency Management. He has responded to many disasters including the Joplin tornado, Superstorm Sandy and hurricanes in Florida and Louisiana.
Scott is a community volunteer who helps organize resources and connect people for the good of the community. He is recently retired from the Jackson County Legislature.
Cindy is the Communication Director for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the greater Kansas City Area. She is finishing her term as the Chair of the Greater Kansas City Interfaith Council. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints strives to follow the example set by Jesus Christ to serve those in need.
Dr. Khan is a Muslim community leader and Chair of the interfaith committee at the Islamic Center of Johnson County in Overland Park, KS. She is the founder and executive director of KC for Refugees, a secular nonprofit organization helping locally resettled refugee families.
Bill has spent his entire career working in the nonprofit sector. With a Master’s in Theology, a Master’s in Adult Education and a certificate in Fundraising and Development, he is currently the president of Stewardship Partners & Resources, where for the past 18 years, he has worked with faith-based organizations to promote the transformative power of stewardship.
